The problem first appeared when an auto-update to the latest version of Cisco An圜onnect was performed (which is not optional, but happens automatically every time the vpn client is started, so going back to the previous version does not work.). Have a newer Lenovo Thinkpad with Cisco Anyconnect client with the symptom as stated above in Topic title. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the VPN client several times, which didn't help. I get the same error when trying to start the service over an admin command prompt ( net start "Cisco An圜onnect Secure Mobility Agent"). Windows could not start the Cisco An圜onnect Secure Mobility Agent Were trying to get everyone updated to version 4.9, but Ive had some trouble getting it to deploy right. However, when I try to start the required service - called "Cisco An圜onnect Secure Mobility Agent"- manually (using admin privileges) I get this error: Upgrading cisco anyconnect vpn through sccm issues Ive been trying to push out an updated version of the cisco anyconnect client to end user computers. Please restart this application after a minute. When I start the VPN client (vpnui.exe) I receive the following error message: I am using "Cisco An圜onnect Secure Mobility Client v9" to establish a VPN connection to a campus network at a university.
